My name is Mrs Finney and I feel very fortunate and privileged to have been the Headteacher of this wonderful school for many years now. I really enjoy my job mainly because the staff are very dedicated in all they do and the children are caring, motivated and interested in their learning – what more could I ask for? The children are enthused by all they do in school and often come to tell me what they have been up to – it really makes my day.

I live with my husband and have two older daughters, who I love spending time with. We like to go for walks, go shopping, watch films and meet together for meals. I also enjoy dancing, running and going to the gym.

I teach Year 5 and am the Deputy Head at Baines. I live with my lovely, patient wife and have two young sons who wake me up early, even at weekends. I love cooking (and eating what I’ve cooked), music (although lots of staff here don’t think what I listen to can be called ‘music’) and Norwich City Football Club (although I don’t get to see them play too often). I play the guitar (badly) in assemblies and like to teach the children silly songs. Working here is so much fun because the children and staff work hard, are kind and make me laugh.

Hello! I’m Mrs Hedges and I am the Year 3 teacher at Baines. I absolutely love working in such a fun and exciting school where everybody is cared for so well. I have spent a lot of my teaching career in Year 6 but I am now ready for the challenge of Year 3 and I will thoroughly enjoy welcoming the children into Key Stage 2. I lead English and PSHE at Baines and I love nothing more than seeing children enjoy a good book in school! I live locally with my husband and daughter and we tend to spend most of our summer weekends down at the cricket club! I am a huge Disney fan and I really enjoy spending holidays in one of my favourite places – Disneyland!

I love teaching at Baines where I currently teach Year 2. The children and staff are so fantastic to work with and our topics are great fun to learn about! I live locally with my husband and two boys. Mostly, I am found on a football pitch at weekend watching my football-mad boys play. I have been a season ticket holder at Liverpool FC for far too many years to count! In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis and meeting up with my friends.

I teach Reception Class at Baines and love how different and exciting each day is in our class. I really enjoy the creative nature of the Early Years environment and don’t mind getting an apron on to do a bit of digging in the mud kitchen or exploring in the water tray with the children! Baines is such a wonderful and welcoming school and it is a pleasure to teach the children here. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a little boy called Alex who loves going out for walks and exploring – so he keeps me busy doing that! We also love camping and visiting the Lake District whenever we get chance.

Hello!  I teach in Year 6 and lead Design and Technology and Art.  I am also part of the SEND Team.  I really enjoy singing and art and I am one of these really annoying people who always breaks into song! I live at home with my husband, my two daughters, Ellie and Addie, and my two cats, Leo and Poppy. I love animals and have always had a pet since being small. My weekends are spent going for long walks with my wellies on and paddling in small streams. Cake is my passion which I love to make but mostly just like to eat.

I love working at Baines and the staff and children are all so friendly and caring. I enjoy the challenge that each day brings and have found Baines to be a fun and creative place to work.

Hello! My name is Mrs Holland. I have worked at Baines since 2012. I live close to school with my husband and 2 children. We also have a boxer dog called Lola. In my spare time I play in a brass band which I really enjoy. I also like meeting up with my friends and reading.

Hi! I am Miss Wilks and I teach Year 4 at Baines. I love teaching at Baines because the staff and children are so friendly and welcoming. I live locally and I have a pet Hamster called Elmo. I love animals, especially orangutans and sausage dogs. I enjoy sports, painting and travelling. As a child I was a competitive gymnast and have since qualified as a gymnastics coach. I’m excited to be starting my teaching career at Baines and I look forward to what the year has in store.
