MRS GILL FINNEY

I feel very fortunate to have been the Headteacher of this wonderful school for many years now. I thoroughly enjoy my job which is made all the more interesting by working with dedicated staff and lovely, enthusiastic children, who make me smile every day.

My husband is a High School teacher and my two daughters are both Key Stage 1 teachers, which is great as we share lots of ideas. In my spare time I love to go on holiday with my family, have dance lessons, go out for a run and read!

MR BEN LEAH

I teach Year 5 and am the Deputy Head at Baines. I live with my lovely, patient wife and have two young sons who wake me up early, even at weekends. I love cooking (and eating what I’ve cooked), music (although lots of staff here don’t think what I listen to can be called ‘music’) and Norwich City Football Club (although I don’t get to see them play too often). I play the guitar (badly) in assemblies and like to teach the children silly songs. Working here is so much fun because the children and staff work hard, are kind and make me laugh.

MRS LIZZIE HEDGES

Hello! I am Mrs Hedges and I am the Year 3 teacher at Baines Endowed! I enjoy going on holidays – especially if it is in a sunny location! I am a huge Disney fan and have been lucky enough to visit Disneyland in Paris, Florida and California! My weekends are usually spent watching my husband play cricket or visiting family and friends. I love teaching Year 6; watching them grow throughout the year is a pleasure to see. The staff and children are all extremely welcoming at Baines and I am thrilled to be part of such a fantastic team! I am looking forward to experiencing new things throughout the year and learning some new skills along the way!

MRS NICOLA MCPHEE

I have worked at Baines Endowed for many years and I have been lucky enough to work in most of the year groups. At the moment I am teaching in Year 2 and I also lead Maths, Geography and Assessment. At Baines the children and staff are so fantastic to work with and our topics are great fun!

As a child I grew up in Cleveleys and still live locally. At weekends I am normally found on the football field watching my two teenage boys play. I have also been a season ticket holder at Liverpool FC for far too many years to count! In my spare time I go to lots of classes at the gym and I enjoy meeting up with my friends.

MISS RACHEL BENNETT

I am Miss Bennett and I am the EYFS Teacher at Baines. I have taught in Early Years for many years and have worked as a HLTA and Teaching Assistant before qualifying as a teacher. I really enjoy working in our Reception class; watching the children settle into school life at the start of the year and seeing them grow into confident learners ready for Year 1 in the summer!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family including my little boy, Alex and my labrador, Ned. We enjoy visiting new places and walking in the countryside. I also enjoy watching Burnley Football Club and am partial to a bit of DIY!

MRS SIAN ANDREW

Hello, I’m Mrs Andrew the current Year 6 teacher at Baines Endowed.  This is my fifth year working at Baines and I have loved every minute.
I am the Art and DT Subject Leader in school and I am always looking at exciting news ways we can be creative.  I live at home with my husband, my two daughters, Ellie and Addie and my cat Poppy.
I love to sing (even though I’m not very good at it!) and will often just burst into song in the middle of teaching.  At the weekend, I love to shop.  Home Bargains is my favourite shop ever!
