At Baines Endowed VC School, safeguarding our children is central to our school policies and practice and we take this role very seriously. We work closely with Lancashire County Council, LCSB and other local schools to ensure that all our staff have up-to-date safeguarding training, including some staff and governors being trained in Safer Recruitment. We have a clear procedure within school for reporting any concerns about pupils, which are followed up in a timely manner and are fully explained in our safeguarding policy. All of our actions and information is recorded on a system called CPOMs. Occasionally, we will need to seek advice from the duty social worker, Police or LSCB
By working closely together within school and in partnership with local services we confidently believe that we will continue to offer a safe environment for all our children to achieve the best education.
All of our staff have a responsibility to safeguard our children and report any concerns to our safeguarding team immediately.
