Primary School Admissions
Selecting the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions a parent will make and never an easy one. At Baines we wish to do all we can to support the process of choosing the right school - so if you have a child approaching school age please contact the school office on 01253 823420 to book an appointment to view the school.
As a school we follow the local authority admission policy which can be viewed along with other relevant information such as how to apply for a Primary School place on the Lancashire County Council Website by clicking HERE.
In general, children are not required to start school until the term following their fifth birthday. In Lancashire, however, all children who have their fifth birthday between 1 September 2010 and 31 August 2011 may start school in September 2010 if their parents / carers wish it.
To make the process of applying for a place as easy as possible, parents are required to either apply Online or complete a paper application form. Completed paper applications should be returned to your preferred Primary School.
All applications must be submitted by Friday 6th November 2009. Offers of Primary School places will be issued to arrive by Monday 8th March 2010.
